A Frog ,Trees And A Giant Lemon

Last week I finished 2 paintings. The frog which I call "Frog Boy" I painted when I was teaching my first student, it's based on a stuffed toy I have and we both were working on our own, I wanted her to get the feel of the paint for the first time.

This second painting "The Fruit Orchard" Was a painting I had been working off and on for many weeks, it is part of my surreal fruit tree series and this is the largest so far 36x48 oil. Lemon Head My New Love!

I think I fell in love this evening! Shhhh Don't tell my husband! Lemon Head it has a flavor of Magritte, here's a unique thing I found out AFTER I posted the painting tonight, that the creator of lemon heads candy passed away this week at 93. I had no clue! which makes me think I channeled it or something. Still on my lemon surrealism. stay tuned for the next one!
