A Frog ,Trees And A Giant Lemon

Last week I finished 2 paintings. The frog which I call "Frog Boy" I painted when I was teaching my first student, it's based on a stuffed toy I have and we both were working on our own, I wanted her to get the feel of the paint for the first time.

This second painting "The Fruit Orchard" Was a painting I had been working off and on for many weeks, it is part of my surreal fruit tree series and this is the largest so far 36x48 oil. Surrealism And Lemon Drops

Hello all artist's and art lovers! Happy Valentine's Day! I went from my humorous mood in my work to my surrealistic mood this week and have a series of Lemon paintings I have been working on. This one is called "Lemon Drops" Surrealism is such an interesting genre and stretches the imagination. I was told once by one of my followers that there aren't many females that paint surrealism. I find that interesting and wonder why. Any input by anyone with that?
