A Frog ,Trees And A Giant Lemon
Last week I finished 2 paintings. The frog which I call "Frog Boy" I painted when I was teaching my first student, it's based on a stuffed toy I have and we both were working on our own, I wanted her to get the feel of the paint for the first time.
This second painting "The Fruit Orchard" Was a painting I had been working off and on for many weeks, it is part of my surreal fruit tree series and this is the largest so far 36x48 oil. To see other surreal fruit trees that go with this piece which include Cherry,Lemon,Orange,Dragon Fruit, Horned melon, Pear, Mango, I will add a link to my website.

My Surreal Life and My Wacky Art World
I decided last week to my first self portrait. I thought I could do just a regular portrait but that sounded boring to me, so I thought putting my image on a dress mannequin was more suitable to my personality and my wacky world. I love and live in the desert so that suited me also for this piece and is also a good back drop to Items and characters I used that were in previous paintings of mine like Crash my Dog, misfit potato head, My sock monkey doll,my stick figure to the back right, The Lemon Blimp, and my protecting baby series with the pears. I own an antique dress mannequin from 1910 so this just felt like my art world bringing everything together. The original is 30x24x1.5 oil and won't be for sale. I will add a link where prints will be available of this one and all my other work.
